Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using LayerScape, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. LayerScape is intended for teachers, educators, and educational professionals.

2. Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your password secure
• You must not share your account with others
• You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access at support@layerscape.tech
• One person may not operate multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use LayerScape to:

• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, or discriminatory
• Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or overload the service
• Resell or redistribute access to LayerScape without written permission
• Upload content that contains personal data of students without appropriate legal authority

4. Your content

You retain ownership of any content you upload to LayerScape (images, overlays, projects). By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to store, display, and deliver that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content you upload, including 360° images and assets.

5. Subscriptions and payment

• Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe
• You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period
• We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods unless required by law
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice

6. Intellectual property

The LayerScape platform, including its design, code, branding, and features, is owned by LayerScape and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep LayerScape available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. We will not be liable for any downtime or data loss caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LayerScape is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. On termination, your content will be deleted within 30 days.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
